I am God, but God isn't Me. by ~Little-J-007:iconLittle-J-007:

The alarm blares in my otherwise empty room at the same hour everyday, not once does it ever fail in its crisp timing. Angrily, I force my eyes open a creak, it's still dark in the room, thankfully, my eyes are already burning enough as it is, don't need the stupid Sun to add on to this painful nuisance. Why is there a sun anyways? All it does is give sunburns, increasing your chances of attaining skin cancer-

"Ymber! Shut that God dammed thing off! Not all of us are nocturnal freaks like you!"

I find myself incapable of stopping a small snarl escape through my barely open lips in answer to my sister's words. I must say I find it rather intriguing that if it were to be her alarm, it wouldn't cause a problem, but as soon as it's someone else is alarm, it's the end of the world as we know it. Stupid wench.

I shut the alarm off with a little more force than necessary, nothing out of the ordinary. Finally making my way to the shower, turning it on, I place all of my clothes in a neatly folded pile upon the counter, taking a deep breath as I step into the freezing rain that spurts out of the shower head, damn father can't even get us some hot water. But I have to commend his efforts for taking care of all of us, though it would be nice if I wasn't always the one making sacrifices, such as no hot water so there is enough for the others, making sure that I put all the food away and that there is enough for everyone. Ah well.

How time flies by when one ponders on his family issues. After who knows exactly how long, I slowly step out of the iced waterfall shutting it down in the process, the light in the washroom revealing my skin to be a tad paler than usual, I glance into the mirror where normally there would be steam after a shower, to witness my reflected self shaking.

My breathing seemingly irregular from all the shivers that rack my slyly built body, my shoulder length hair, my beautifully perfect slick dark brown hair, heavy from the water, covers the top of my wondrous purple eyes. I can't help the sly grin that plasters itself upon my flawless face, as even like this, cold and wet, I am unable to distinguish any flaws in myself.

As I do every day, habit attained from my most pleasurable hobby, I check every singe crease, analyzing my godly body to be sure there is not a single speck of dirt left. My grin grows all the wider, for am I not the embodiment of perfection?

By the time I step out of the washroom, father has already left, I sense the aggravation that plagues my irritating sister as she brushes past me to take her own shower. I take a look outside with a bitter taste of disgust invading my mouth as I notice coming of the most hated sun, turning, I head down the flight of stairs to fill my grumbling stomach with my traditional Monday morning bagel.

Although, if by some fluke, none are to remain, which might I add, would greatly perturb me, I would be left with Tuesday morning Corn Pops, but now if even those were to be gone...

Exasperated, I see myself walking to school, my stomach making it painfully obvious that it was no where near being satisfied. I have been told that sometimes I over think things, which I do not see the fault in, and fail to take action fast enough. Continuing along these thoughts, I miss the presence of a young lady who, as I am, appears to be drowning in a clouded mind filled to the brim with seemingly insignificant thoughts.

With a hard thump she falls to the ground, where as I stand rooted in place, my eyes widened in but the slightest. I frown delicately as I look upon her light features, and before I know it, my inner gentleman shines through. Stretching my arm to her, I apologize, placing of course the sincerity and concern needed in such an event.

"Are you hurt, Miss?" I question ever so friendly in but a soft murmur. She nods, but not to my question, as her eyes still reflect that her mind is elsewhere. "Miss?" I ask once more, my arm still held out.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" she blurts out as she snaps back to reality, blushing madly in embarrassment. As she notices my hand, she takes it shyly.

"There is nothing to be sorry about, Miss. It was I who failed to take notice into where my feet were taking me." I say, brushing off a bit of dirt off her.

"Thank you." she replies keeping her head down in shame. I simply rub her soft hand, relishing the sensation of skin on skin.

"Now then, I must be on my way." I incline my head in a small bow, evoking another blush from the dear ma'am. I reluctantly release her hand and recommence my majestic walk to my prison.

Upon arriving, not even a handful of moments later, I halt on the grounds. My eyes mechanically taking in all of my fellow students' features, my mind analyzing every quality, every flaw, every curve and bend, everything. I take mental notes of potential peoples' hair color, skin tone, freckle or mole.

I sigh in defeat, as none in this horde of pathetic fools, is there at least one that could kill my unquenchable lusty thirst. Not. A single. One. Needless to say I find it more than upsetting as my streak has come to such an unprecedented halt.

Looking through the pile of organized books, papers, and binders, I finally fall upon my ever so beloved treasure. My catalog, that I have so affectionately baptized Gravekeeper, for her job is indeed to keep a tab on potential people of graves, or more precisely those that will fill them.

A grin.

I flicker through the pages entering a quick note of disappointment, that there are yet again no potential victims. I do hope you have put the obvious pieces together by now my dear, yes? I am in no way an ordinary student, no? Nor in mind, nor in soul, for I am what you would call an abomination, a monster, a taker of lives.

A murderer.

He is a boy, but he does resemble like a girl at first glance ^^
